More information on things to do in North Wales
If you would like information on any activity you would like to do in North Wales and can't find it please let me know, I have organised a number of weekends for small groups staying at the house finding a variety of activities for them to do.

Walking:
Of course this region of Wales is best known for the fantastic walking with stunning scenery everywhere.  The main Snowdon hike begins about 5 minutes from the front door, taking most walkers around 2 - 2 1/2 hours.  Aside from this there are hundreds of walking trails around the area, for more information check out these sites:
Go For a Walk

And you can find out more information about the Snowdonia area here:
Snowdonia National Park

Skills courses and guiding:
If you would like to have an organised climbing trip either to learn as a beginner or to consolidate on skills already picked up try these operations:
Dragon Mountain Skills specialises in mountaineering courses and activities for everyone from complete beginners to advanced climbers and mountaineers.
Snowdonia Adventures runs a huge variety of courses from learning mountain skills such as navigation to days out coasteering, climbing and walking.  They can also organise charity fund raising events.

Climbing:
North Wales is without doubt the most diverse and exciting climbing destination in the whole of the British Isles, with routes ranging from long mountain scrambles to overhanging super hard limestone sport routes, and finger splitting slate slabs to pumpy steep boulder problems.  Check out the following sites for more information of the area:
UK Climbing
RockFax
for bouldering:

and to whet your appetite, a beautiful site for photos:

For all your climbing kit needs and much more besides (including lovely friendly people) you can pop around the corner onto the High Street to the V12 Shop
also click here for information about the entirely voluntary Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team.

Mountain Biking:
We have always hired bikes from this shop in Betws-y-Coed, the bikes are always in good condition and great value:

and for information about rides with maps and comments check out these sites:

there are also links on there to buy the Bikefax guide although you can get that in Llanberis (see the V12 site above)

Miscellaneous:
You can't come to Llanberis and not visit Pete's Eats, especially as it's at the end of the road, mountains of food, perfect before, during or after a day of over activity.
